2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid

Ford has announced pricing for the 2013 Fusion hybrid Titanium trim level, which shares Fusion range-topping status with the top gas-powered model of the same name. The top-dog hybrid Titanium starts at $32,995, a full $5000 more than the base Fusion hybrid. We’ve already covered full pricing information on the rest of the 2013 Fusion lineup, and driven the hybrid, but this Titanium hybrid was the lone holdout—until now, at least. Of course, the Titanium badge brings all of the same goodies here as it does in the gas model, but mixes the upmarket equipment with the hybrid’s superior fuel economy.

Relative to the entry-level Fusion hybrid, the Titanium adds 18-inch wheels, fog lamps, chrome exterior accents, leather seats, MyFord Touch, push-button start, power front seats, and a 12-speaker Sony audio system. (The regular hybrid model essentially is a mid-level SE model that’s powered by a hybrid drivetrain.) Otherwise, buyers will get the same impressive 47 mpg in the city and on the highway as they would in the lesser Fusion hybrid.

This new hybrid Titanium model gives Ford yet another weapon in its arsenal against Toyota’s Camry hybrid, which is available in up-level XLE spec, in addition to regular LE trim. It’s worth pointing out that the Titanium’s starting price is massively more expensive than the Camry hybrid XLE, which starts at $28,295, but also massively more stylish. Eco-conscious buyers can start lining up outside of Ford dealerships for a Fusion hybrid Titanium early next year.
